Production Material Control (PMC)

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material & Production Control Specialist to oversee end-to-end planning and procurement operations. The ideal candidate will manage MRP runs and purchase requisitions in the ERP system, prepare production shortage reports, and coordinate monthly and weekly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery. This role requires close collaboration with the Production and HR departments to align workforce planning with production demands, while also issuing purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance, and handling monthly account reconciliation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing order priorities, and a commitment to maintaining smooth cross-functional coordination across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Material control

• Conduct MRP (Material Requirements Planning) runs in the ERP system based on sales orders to generate purchase requisitions, ensuring the accuracy of material categories and quantities.
• Prepare shortage reports for work orders to facilitate production scheduling, while monitoring suppliers to ensure on-time delivery according to rules.

Production control

• Reasonably arrange monthly and weekly production schedules, and finalize the output and release of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and weekly plans.
• Release production work orders and ensure the accuracy of material usage.
• Coordinate with the Production and HR departments to handle recruitment or workforce reduction based on the labor demand fluctuations derived from the master plan.
• Promptly adjust schedules in response to customer order changes, as well as material or labor shortages, to ensure smooth production and on-time shipments.

Purchasing management

• Issue purchase orders to suppliers, monitor their deliveries, and follow up on the handling of defective materials or supplier non-conformities.
• Reconcile accounts with suppliers on a monthly basis and arrange payment requests based on the confirmed reconciliation results.

• College degree or above.
• Over 2 years of experience in PMC operations; Purchasing experience is preferred.
• Solid experience with ERP systems; experience with Epicor is a significant advantage.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good in both spoken and written English. Mandarin will be an advantage.
• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative; excellent teamwork skills.
