Job Summary:
The Production Planning Officer is responsible for planning and coordinating production activities for the chemical blending plant to ensure timely supply, optimal inventory levels, efficient resource utilization and compliance with production and safety requirements. The role works closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, QA/QC, Customer Service and Sales teams to balance customer demand, raw material availability and production capacity while maintaining operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain short-term and long-term production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, production capacity and raw material availability.
2. Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, Production, QA/QC, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution of production schedules and on-time delivery.
3. Monitor daily production progress and adjust production plans when necessary to address changes in demand, machine capacity, material shortages or operational issues.
4. Ensure adequate raw material and packaging material availability to support production requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
5. Analyze production data, inventory reports and demand trends to improve production efficiency, reduce stock shortages, minimize excess inventory and control aging stock.
6. Plan and monitor blending schedules, filling schedules and internal material movements to optimize plant utilization and warehouse capacity.
7. Maintain and manage planning master data and planning parameters in SAP system to support production planning and inventory control activities.
8. Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics teams for raw material receiving, finished goods storage and delivery arrangements.
9. Prepare and submit regular reports on production planning performance, inventory status, slow-moving stock, forecast accuracy and production fulfillment.
10. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, inventory management and supply chain efficiency.
11. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety regulations and chemical handling procedures during planning activities.

Job Requirement/Specification:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering or other related fields.
