QHSE Supervisor

Job purpose

Build, run and continuously improve the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management systems of Tietex Vietnam's newly established factory, so that products meet customer requirements, the workplace is safe, the factory complies with Vietnamese law, and the factory passes certification and customer audits (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, GRS, Higg FEM, SLCP).

Key responsibilities

 QHSE system set-up

1.      Establish, document and maintain the QHSE management system, including the QHSE policy, objectives, procedures, SOPs, work instructions and forms.

Lead the factory's certification to ISO 9001, and prepare for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 according to the Company's roadmap.

2.      Control documents and records: issue, revise, distribute and archive QHSE documents so that they are always audit-ready.

Quality

1.      Set up and supervise quality control for incoming materials, in-process production and finished goods; define inspection criteria and sampling plans.

2.      Handle non-conforming products, customer complaints and returns; lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

3.      Manage calibration of measuring and testing equipment, and supplier quality evaluation.

Health & Safety / An toàn – Sức khỏe nghề nghiệp

1.      Identify hazards and assess risks for all activities, machines and chemicals; set control measures and keep the risk register up to date.

2.      Organize occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) training, fire prevention and fighting drills, first aid, and periodic health examinations as required by law and the Internal Labor Regulations.

3.      Manage chemicals (SDS/MSDS, labelling, storage, spill response), personal protective equipment and permit-to-work for high-risk tasks.

4.      Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses to the Group and the competent authorities; follow up corrective actions.

Environment

1.      Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reports, including waste classification, hazardous waste contracts, wastewater connection to the industrial zone and periodic environmental monitoring.

2.      Monitor energy, water and waste data, and drive reduction programs.

Customer and industry standards

1.      Implement and maintain Global Recycled Standard (GRS) chain-of-custody, material traceability and transaction records.

2.      Prepare and submit Higg FEM self-assessments and SLCP data collection, and coordinate their verification.

3.      Act as the main contact for certification bodies, customer auditors and authorities during audits and inspections; close findings on schedule.

Audits, reporting and people

1.      Plan and lead internal audits and management reviews.

2.      Report monthly QHSE performance to the General Manager and the Group, in English.

3.      Recruit, train and supervise QC/HSE staff when appointed; build a QHSE culture across all departments.

4.      Perform other tasks assigned by the General Manager.

Authority

1.      Stop any work, machine or process that poses an imminent risk to people, property or the environment, and report immediately to the General Manager.

2.      Hold (quarantine) non-conforming materials or products until a disposition decision is made.

3.      Access all areas, records and data needed for QHSE audits and investigations.

4.      Propose disciplinary action for QHSE violations under the Internal Labor Regulations. The decision remains with the persons authorized in Article 23 of the Internal Labor Regulations

Working time

Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (lunch 12:00–13:00), per the Internal Labor Regulations; may be required outside normal hours for audits, incidents, or emergencies

Salary negotiation in the range of 30- 40 M VND Gross

Eligibility / Điều kiện

Vietnamese citizen or legally permitted to work in Vietnam /

Education / Học vấn

Engineering degree in Environment, Chemistry, Textiles or a related field

Preferred / Ưu tiên Postgraduate degree

Experience / Kinh nghiệm

At least 5 years in a QHSE position in manufacturing

Preferred / Ưu tiên Set-up of a new (greenfield) factory; textile or nonwoven industry

Systems / Hệ thống

Established and maintained ISO 9001; wrote SOPs and work instructions; passed external audits

Preferred / Ưu tiên ISO 45001, ISO 14001

Industry standards
