1. Job Purpose
Proactively monitor, analyze, and anticipate regulatory changes related to food safety and the Company’s business categories. Assess regulatory impacts, develop early response plans, and build structured regulatory data systems and digital solutions to improve the efficiency of regulatory information management and compliance activities.
2. Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Intelligence – Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor and update draft and effective regulations related to food safety, food additives, raw materials, labeling, and the Company’s business categories.
- Proactively identify regulatory directions and policy trends from relevant authorities, including at the draft stage.
- Analyze regulatory changes, identify key issues, and provide early warnings on potential risks that may impact business operations.
2. Regulatory Impact Assessment – Impact Analysis & Response Planning
- Assess the impact of new regulations on R&D, raw materials, formulas, packaging, manufacturing, and business operations.
- Identify compliance gaps and areas requiring adjustment following regulatory changes.
- Develop action plans, coordinate with relevant functions, and monitor implementation progress to ensure timely compliance.
3. Regulatory Data Management
- Build, standardize, and maintain a structured regulatory database to ensure data is complete, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Manage regulatory data covering legal documents, food additives, raw materials, labeling, food safety, and category-specific regulatory requirements.
- Establish processes for regulatory data updating, control, and integration across functions.
4. Digitalization & Automation
- Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to apply technology to improve team efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT/Digital/Data teams to develop and implement automation, semi-automation, and AI solutions for collecting, analyzing, managing, and monitoring regulatory information.
- Define business requirements, functional specifications, and operating logic; participate in testing and continuous improvement of digital tools.
5. Global Regulatory Radar – International Regulatory Monitoring
- Develop approaches and methodologies to monitor regulatory developments in advanced and target markets.
- Monitor international trends related to food additives, labeling, food safety, and other relevant industry regulations.
- Analyze and consolidate information into Global Regulatory Radar reports and identify emerging regulatory trends that may impact the Company’s business.
