The Costing Analyst at Yes4All is responsible for managing and analyzing the costs associated with the company’s products and operations. This role involves working closely with various departments, including Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Supply Chain, to ensure accurate cost calculations and reporting. The Costing Analyst will play a vital role in helping the company optimize its cost structure, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making through detailed cost analysis and reporting.
1. Cost Analysis and Reporting
Analyze and report on the cost structure of products, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
Prepare detailed cost reports and variance analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor actual costs against budgeted or standard costs, identifying and explaining variances.
2. Costing Procedures
Develop and maintain accurate product costing models and methodologies.
Ensure that cost calculations are aligned with industry standards and internal policies.
Update and maintain standard costs in the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
3. Inventory Valuation
Conduct regular inventory valuations and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Work closely with the Supply Chain team to manage and optimize inventory levels, reducing carrying costs.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to inventory and cost accounting.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of cost-related budgets and forecasts, providing detailed analysis to support financial planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-saving initiatives and improve financial performance.
Provide insights and recommendations based on cost analysis to help drive strategic business decisions.
5. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline costing processes and improve data accuracy.
Implement best practices for cost management, ensuring that processes are efficient and effective.
Work with IT and other departments to enhance costing systems and tools.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and other departments to gather cost data and ensure accurate cost reporting.
Provide cost information and analysis to support pricing strategies and decisions.
Act as a key point of contact for cost-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
7. Compliance and Audit Support
Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
Prepare and support internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
