Accounting Team Leader

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager you will be responsible for:

· Closing Process Management:

Manage the end-to-end month-end closing process, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.

Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.

· GAAP Compliance:

Ensure execution and compliance of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and anticipate reporting business needs to adjust GAAP accordingly.

· Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the accounting operations

Work with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and systems.

· Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and reports are accurate and comprehensive.

· Account Reconciliation:

Oversee the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of financial data.

· Internal Controls:

Implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.

Collaborate with other departments, including but not limited to finance, operations, and audit, to gather necessary information and ensure a cohesive and accurate closing process.

· Audit Preparation:

Prepare and coordinate audit schedules and requests, facilitating a smooth external audit process.

Variance Analysis:

· Training and Development:

Provide training to team members and other relevant stakeholders on financial closing processes, GAAP compliance, and best practices.
