Associate Tax & Accounting Manager

Job Description

Assist the Chief Accountant in managing and overseeing daily financial accounting and taxation functions. Identify and enhance reporting and operational processes. Provide timely and accurate financial information to support top management in decision-making and to prevent fraud and errors.

1. Financial Management:

• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

2. Tax Compliance and Review:

• Conduct comprehensive tax reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Provide recommendations and implement strategies to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.

4. Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness in financial reporting and accounting operations.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.

5. Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborate with other departments to support and achieve overall business objectives.

6. Adhoc tasks:

• Participate in implementation, and optimization of accounting automation software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or professional degree in related field
• 5-7 years of experience in tax and accounting, including at least 3 years as a Tax Consultant at one of the Big 4 firms
• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, accounting standards and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and management skills
• Excellent written and verbal English skills are mandatory
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
