Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Under minimal direction, the Automation & Data serves as a liaison between New Technology Development and Operations. The Automation & Data is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of automatic equipment, integration systems, and digital transformation solutions to support production strategy and production roadmap. This position facilitates the modernization initiatives with Process Engineering and Manufacturing teams to successfully launch new products, on time and within budget. This role is a fundamental part of our Manufacturing engineering team located in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven integrated automation experience, as well as someone who exhibits the drive for continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

- I4.0 Project management

o Attend improvement meetings, and work with the Operations Team to develop action plans for new digital transformation solution (digital twin, data connectivity, data mining) and scheduling needs.

o Coordinate development plan and follow-up actions, including but not limited to Conceptualization or Process Analysis, Design, Simulation & Prototyping, Testing & Deployment.

o Create collaborative project communication channels with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Supervision, and floor operators.

o Develop and maintain Gantt Charts, Project Schedules, Risk Assessments, and Contingency Plans.

o Develop agendas to facilitate and document project meetings

o Deliver formal presentations to leadership regarding project status

o Manage suppliers of capital equipment for turn-key applications/custom equipment. Manage the cost, timing, and budget of each project.

- Digital Transformation Technology Development

o Have the ability to conduct/ lead research, development, and implementation of new manufacturing digitalization technology, digital twin, IoT platforms, and data mining platforms to improve current manufacturing process, optimize cost, and quality, improve reliability and visuality

o Have the ability to work with/ lead the builds of simulation, and real prototypes to confirm feasibility as well as deployment time/cost estimates and test procedures to Commit to/ drive major strategic cost, quality, and delivery initiatives with an aggressive focus on breakthrough process and technology improvements to achieve a substantial competitive advantage.

o Ensure proper management of data strategy, and cybersecurity policy during the whole project development phases.

o Ensure proper development of computer-based and cellphone-based programs of
integration systems, data connectivity, and data mining projects.

o Assist with/ drive Continuous Improvement Projects in Kaizen Activities, Visual
Management, OEE, etc

o Engage in/ lead in automation and innovation course through technology co-research and development as well as engineering co-test and deployment.

- Team leading and people development

o Develop Data/ Mechatronic engineer/specialist capabilities by identifying strengths, gaps, and expectations as well as continually devoting to individual development and mentorship.

o Nurture and empower leadership culture with an appreciation of Milwaukee core values
o Drive the team’s performance to committed KPIs and key objectives.
o Engage in operational management and strategic activities, align personnel and team’s organizational chart planning to the company’s target picture

Job Requirement

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Automation/Mechatronics/ 
Industrial engineering with a data analytics certificate is a plus.

Minimum five years of project management experience.

Minimum five years of managerial experience in automated integration systems, IIoT, Data mining, and advanced simulation. 

Knowledge: Data mining, data analytics, lean manufacturing. 

Specialty skills, understanding, and knowledge in Robotics, Factory Automation, Automation Control, and Software and Electrical Design or IoT and Digitalization.

Skills in digitalization transformation project management, familiar with  Agile/Swarm/Kanban project management.

Excellent English skills in both written and verbal communication
