Job Description

1. Budget and Forecast control

  • Monitor capital expenditure budgets, ensuring projects remain within budget (forecast) and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Track and report on capital expenditure, highlighting variances and potential areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Closely contact the project Dept. and other functions for CAPEX monthly rolling forecast.
  • Prepare CAPEX and depreciation information for Finplan and Budget.

2. Fixed Asset Oversight

  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, ensuring proper valuation, depreciation, and classification under accounting standards.
  • Conduct periodic physical asset verifications to ensure the accuracy of the asset register.

3. Compliance and Policy Adherence

  • Follow established policies and procedures for capital and asset management, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Support the implementation of internal controls related to capital expenditure and fixed asset management.

4. Reporting

  • Compile regular reports on capital expenditure and fixed asset status, including monthly and quarterly CAPEX reports to management and the Group, other annual reports to the Group, and assets list to audited financial reports. providing insights into asset utilization and capital project performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements sections related to fixed assets and capital expenditures

5. Collaborationtion

  • Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to ensure effective management of capital projects and fixed assets.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and other external parties as required, providing necessary information and documentation.

Job Requirement

1. Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting.
  • Additional certifications such as CPA, CMA, and ACCA student/partly qualified would be beneficial.

2. Relevant Experience

  • Experience in capital budgeting, financial analysis, and asset management.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, especially those related to fixed assets and capital expenditure.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems, Excel

3. Leadership Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions.
  • A team player with a collaborative approach to work.
