JOB SUMMARY
The CI Specialist role is to support the overall Continuous Improvement Strategic Initiative, faiclitating improvement projects in manufacturing and transactional areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Partnership with the senior management team to define the Continuous Improvement strategy and select project opportunities.
2. Define continuous improvement projects and facilitating teams to move the projects and get done.
3. Develop data collection plan, collecting data, analyse data and develop countermeasures.
4. Plan and conduct structured improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
5. Provide expertise in application of Lean Six Sigma methodology in the analysis, design and documentation the projects.
6. Design change management processes an achieve buy-in through a comprehensive approach to engage and gain acceptance for important change initiatives.
7. To explore new opportunities in order to improve efficiency, reduce waste and ensure quality.
8. Develop visual control on manufacturing floor.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Direct the activities of Continuous Improvement work while fully utilizing the support of all other departments to meet department objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education
▪ College or University graduation Degree qualification in engineering subject or Industrial Management.
▪ Lean Six Sigma Green belt / Black belt is advantage.
2. Experience
▪ Minimum 1 -2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with lean and continuous improvement experience.
3. Knowledge of:
▪ Tools and techniques including Value Stream Mapping, flow, pull, process flow charts, takt time, quick changeover study, Kanban and visual management.
▪ Statistical Process Control
▪ Process improvement methodologies such as DMAIC and Plan-Do-CheckAct.
▪ Problem solving tools such as Ishikawa, 5-why.
4. Skills and Abilities
• Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Highly capable of identifying problems and solving problems.
• Excellent use of Microsoft office, particularly in a creative way for developing KPI charts and engaging communication boards.
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Very proactive and energetic.
• Good at Written and Spoken English.
• Work well in a team-based environment.
