Oversee routine implementation of the practical laboratory testing protocols, all quality practices, and monitor all instruments for proper working.
Review weekly complaints, draft the root cause, and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
Present monthly lab reports to laboratory management.
Liaise with and provide ongoing technical guidance to associated lab-dependent verticals like customer care, PSC, nursing staff, doctors, sales, marketing, and IT whenever required.
Manage the overall laboratory operations and scientific upgradation for the core lab.
Support in the design, implementation, and operation of the laboratory information system (LIMS), if required.
Implement effective management of TAT, streamline work processes, maintain quality and safety standards, and optimize manpower with automation.
Initiate and execute lab improvement plans.
Improve standard operating procedures, documentation, and report formats with the quality assurance department, and achieve local and international accreditations.
Train and develop skilled staff and set an organizational chart with cascading KPIs for incentivization of staff.
Prepare a budget forecast for the upcoming fiscal year, focusing on business growth and optimal utilization of available resources.
Achieve 100 % KPIs as per the company’s vision.
Job Requirement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A basic medical degree or equivalent preferably Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
A postgraduate master’s degree or MD in Hematology discipline is a must.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing and operating laboratories across different disciplines, including hematology, clinical chemistry, immunoassay, clinical pathology, special chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, and recent laboratory medical advances.
Experience in Quality Management Systems, including expertise in national and international accreditation standards.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in managing people including performance management and staff development.
Experience in running training programs for technical and medical staff.
Experienced in understanding laboratory information systems and their different modalities and well-versed with lab digital solutions like digital reporting and web-based reporting systems.
Highly effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. English is a plus.
Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse and demanding increasing workload.
Capable of multitasking, working proactively and with minimal supervision.
