Key Purpose of the Job:
Lead the finance reporting function on a day-to-day basis to ensure smooth general accounting, financial reporting, taxation in compliance with IFRS and VAS accounting standards, local statutory and regulatory requirements, tax requirements and Group policies.
Financial Reporting:
1.General Accounting
• Manage all accounting records for general accounting, including inventories, prepayments, fixed assets, leasing, payroll, accruals, taxation, equities, and
• others. Review accounting entries prepared and posted by general accounting team.
• Manage all accounting treatments under VAS ledger, local statutory and regulation requirements.
• Manage IFRS ledger, prepare and/or review all adjustment entries for differences between local GAAP and IFRS.
• Set-up, manage execution of monthly financial closing process and balance sheet reconciliation, and on-going improve, enhance these processes to ensure the quality of financial reporting and reduce the closing time.
• Build and on-going update accounting policies, accounting manuals, SOPs and guidance relating to general accounting areas.
• Manage accounting systems, accounting document storage, and other accounting areas.
2. Financial Reporting
• Review and/or prepare VAS financial statements and other local regulatory reports.
• Review and/or prepare IFRS financial statements in accordance with Group requirements.
• Review and/or prepare other reports required by local regulations.
3. Governance and Control
• Manage accounting policies and procedures to ensure appropriate and sufficient internal control in place and compliance with local regulations and Group policies.
• Build and maintain good relationships with external auditors and regulators. Manage the annual external audit.
Taxation:
1. Tax Reporting and Compliance: Responsible for tax management, tax accounting, tax filing, and tax payment to ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements and Group tax policies.
• Design, implement and monitor effective control procedures for all tax reporting and compliance aspects.
• Review tax returns and ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax forms.
• Review tax balances, and payment plans for taxation.
2. Tax Consulting: Act as a ‘Tax Partner’ to divisional managers by providing technical expertise on product, project, other tax related issues and tax risk management.
• Frequently update new applicable tax regulations and communicate any changes to the management team, and lead implementation of these changes.
• Mange tax related services with consultants.
Leadership
• Manage and develop accounting team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training and maintaining strong employee relations.
• Proactively partner with management team and other functions in daily finance operations and facilitate operational efficiency improvements.
• Effectively communicate and negotiate with external stakeholders, including regulators, tax authorities, banks, financial institutions, collection partners, etc.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance;
• Accounting certifications (CPA, ACCA or CIMA) highly preferred;
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it in a supervisory role;
• Extremely organized and attentive to details, strong with numbers;
• Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices, and Vietnam taxation;
• Excellent verbal and written skills;
• Strong leadership skills and capable of motivating teams to achieve results;
• Fluent in English;
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products;
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems.
