Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Trading & Import/Export Assistant to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the general trading operations, facilitating communication with factories and suppliers, assisting in price negotiations, and handling import/export documentation and paperwork. The ideal candidate will have a background in international trade, supply chain management, or logistics, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier & Factory Coordination:
    • Liaise with domestic and international suppliers and manufacturers to establish and maintain relationships.
    • Coordinate with factories and suppliers to obtain quotes, product availability, lead times, and pricing information.
  • Negotiation & Pricing:
    • Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers and manufacturers.
    • Analyze supplier offers, compare quotes, and recommend the best options for the company.
  • Import & Export Documentation:
    • Prepare and manage documentation for import and export transactions, including invoices, shipping documents, customs declarations, and bills of lading.
    • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and complies with international trade regulations.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Support:
    • Work closely with logistics providers to track shipments, resolve shipping delays, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishing stock as needed.
  • Market Research & Supplier Development:
    • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and business opportunities.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or changes in sourcing strategies.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communications.
    • Assist with general administrative tasks related to import/export processes and trade documentation.

Job Requirement

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general trading, import/export business, or related field. No experience will train jobs
    • Proven experience in working with factories, suppliers, and conducting negotiations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with international suppliers and internal teams.
    • Solid negotiation skills and the ability to assess and compare supplier offers.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and any relevant trade management software.
  • Language Skills:
    • Good English (written and spoken) is required to communicate effectively with international suppliers and partners., additional language skills are a plus. 
    • IELTS 6.5 or higher
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of global trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping logistics.
    • Familiarity with the import/export process and related documentation.
