We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Head of Quality (medical) to lead and manage all aspects of quality assurance across our hospital, commercial medical laboratory, customer experience, and polyclinics chain and other activities related operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role, preferably within a hospital setting, and possess exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient safety across all our operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality program: This includes establishing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., CAP, ISO 15189), decision 2429/BYT, best practices and other standards requirements.
Oversee quality control activities: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control processes within the medical laboratory, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timely turnaround of test results.
Manage QA team: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Conduct internal audits and inspections: Regularly assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Manage CAP/ISO 15189 accreditation processes: Ensure the organization maintains its accreditation status and implements any necessary corrective actions.
Investigate and resolve quality-related issues: Lead root cause analysis investigations of complaints, incidents, and deviations from established procedures, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
Monitor customer experience: Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and address any quality-related concerns.
Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with laboratory personnel, clinicians, administrative staff, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality assurance processes.
Stay current on industry best practices and regulations: Keep abreast of changes in regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in quality assurance and medical laboratory operations.
Prepare and present reports: Provide regular reports to management on the status of quality assurance activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
Job Requirement
Job Requirements:
Education: Master's degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Medical Technology, Public Health, Healthcare Administration) or equivalent experience. A relevant certification (e.g., CQA, CQI) is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Prior experience as Head of QA in a hospital setting is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), quality control procedures, CAP/ISO 15189 standards, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA). Experience with medical laboratory testing processes is essential.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret data, and develop effective solutions.
