Job Description

The ideal candidates who deep understanding of styles/trends & aesthetics , good at Illustrator, photoshop, CLO 3D, other design software and passion in Fashion Design:

- Product development;

- Sketching new ideas in line with design briefs;

- Sometime will creating concept & sketch designs, selects fabrics, patterns, colors, material;

- Doing market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration;

- Monitor Sample completion progress;

- To prepare Asmara showroom for customer meeting. To arrange samples matching with the specific customer’s needs and season;

- To mark the selected swatches/ garments and prepare action plan.

*** General Requirements

- Graduated with a major in Fashion Design or related field

- Good at English (verbal and written)

- From 4 years to 6 years of experience in Fashion Design field

*** Creative

- Deep understanding of styles/trends & aesthetics.

- Decoding of a Brand’s handwriting

- Idea simulation – drape/usage of material

- An eye for color proportion and balance

- Creative displays

*** Technical

- Proficiency of design software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator). Some exposure to 3D/CLO, is required.

- Creating technical designs

- Knowledge of Pattern making/ grading/ fitting principles

- Knowledge of fabrics, construction, processes, properties and their impact on timelines, cost and design

- Technical understanding of garments and components, fit and performance

- Basics of photography & lighting

- Basic knowledge of garment washes

*** Working Hour:

Mon – Fri: 8:30 – 17:30

Lunch time: 12:00 – 13:00
