Job Description

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will closely work with ENF team in order to effectively and efficiently resolve a variety of IP enforcement matters in Vietnam, including but not limited to the following tasks:

· Enhancing partner's effectiveness by monitoring case progress;

· Alerting partner of issues requiring his/her attention;

· Evaluating client’s intellectual property rights and provide guidance on intellectual property prosecution and enforcement;

· Overseeing all files and programs of the team ensuring that Company standards are maintained at all time;

· Advising and assisting clients on the development, use and protection of Intellectual property rights preparing exhaustive and accurate drafts to clients;

· Represent clients before Vietnamese courts and other Vietnamese authorities.

· Supervising Customs enforcement actions for IPR infringement and Customs recordation of rights;

· Assisting the partners in preparation of Clients meetings and other general day-to-day tasks;

· Monitoring markets, liaising with enforcement officials (including Customs), training enforcement officials;

· Organizing, taking part in and managing enforcement actions;

· Organizing and supervising notarizations and other evidence collection activities;

· Examining material, such as publications, law revisions, case study etc. for providing proactive advice to the company;

· Assisting partners with Power Point presentations/publications seminars to existing clients, prospective clients, and other industry related seminars;

· Overseeing billing for the whole department and ensure targets are met;

· Assisting with client visit to Vietnam, meeting clients directly when necessary;

· Promoting company activities;

· Liaising with officials and maintaining relationship with authorities and external Agents;

· Evaluate fee structure of the company with the Partners;

· Ensuring that the File Management software is up to date for all clients.

Job Requirement

  • Vietnamese candidates with a law degree; qualified as an IP Agent or Lawyer.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken.
  • Qualified lawyer with 4 – 6 years’ experience in advising and handling IP infringements in an IP firm in Vietnam.
  • Bachelor degree or above in Law or English with layer certificate
  • M. from reputable overseas university, a plus
  • Good understanding of the IP practice in Vietnam.
  • Good skill at drafting advice and documents in English and Vietnamese.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the new jurisdiction.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills – ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, able to work both independently and in a team to meet tight deadlines.
  • Adventurous and resilient personality – ready to take on new challenge and contribute to a busy and growing practice.
  • Experience in all administrative and procedural aspects of prosecution, protection and portfolio management, incl. trade marks, designs, domains from clearance, filing, examination, opposition, registration, renewal through to assignment/licensing would be a great addition.
  • Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner with all office personnel, clients, and officials in English and Vietnamese;
  • Ability to make judgement and quick decisions, and to work well under pressure;
  • Good time management and prioritizing skills;
  • A team player, could build a friendly relationship with coworkers, clients and government;
  • Must be able to work independently but integrate well in a team-oriented and result-oriented environment;
  • Detail-minded, profit-minded, initiative, proactivity and confidentiality;
