· Management of Oceanfreight Operations within Rhenus Vietnam
· Ensure that the Operations departments perform their duties in accordance with the SOP and KPI’s set
· Maintain regular communication/alignment with the Regional Oceanfreight Product Teams.
· Communicate recurring Transport Management System (TMS)-related issues/change requests for discussion with Regional Product Teams
· Conduct regular meetings with the Operations Department to keep the team abreast of any market update/development, discuss operational issues, data quality related reports etc.
· Ensure data-quality reports are reviewed and KPI’s are met
· Generate job and volume reports to monitor cost, sale, gross profit and job-related KPIs, assess volume development, departmental resource, subcontractors and develop new ideas to maximize operations and profitability
· Participate in joint sales calls in terms of acquiring new customers as well as performance meetings
· Meet/ communicate with sub-contractors (airlines/master loaders/truckers, brokers, core carries, co-loaders) to create and keep a good relationship and to escalate and solve performance issues
· Ensure regular case study and rooted-cause analysis are conducted for preventive actions
· Communicate goals and directions and motivate team members regularly to support their continuous development and growth within the company
· Ensure that commitments to customers are maintained while strategic planning for the company’s growth is driven for
· Check and sign documents before job closing
Final check and sign of all Accounts Payable and Receivable after submission
Ensuring that all mandatory documents are collected while job files have been properly signed/ crosschecked
· Manage unresolved complex issues escalated by the Operations Supervisor
· Other duties as assigned by superior/ General Director
Job Requirement
· Degree in Logistics/ Transport Management/ Supply Chain or equivalent
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial position in a similar field
· Extensive knowledge of local and international freight services and customs policies
· Able to effectively problem solve
· Familiar with industry standard programs and able to operate standard systems relevant to the position
· Good contact with major ports, carriers and cargo transport/hauliers service providers
· Good verbal and written communication skills in English
· Highly motivated and able to work independently
· Customer centric mindset, experience in sales is advantageous
· Experience in special shipment handlings: reefer, DG, contract/ project logistic, etc is advantageous
