The New Product Development Manager – OTC is responsible for develop NPD strategies and build OTC product pipeline for UIP. This person collaborates with cross-functional team to drive OTC NPD projects and ensure the successful launch. OTC NPD Manager need to maintains, and updates the new product development process.
This position reports to OTC Marketing Director.
Accountable for analyzing market situation & competitor intelligence together with CMI to proactively identify issues & opportunities for critical decisions in to innovation planning in both short & long term.
Explore new & potential molecule/formulation/technology that can support next generations of product benefit & claim that push us outstanding in the market.
Developing a new winning mix with (1) Proposition & product: Initiating related research to identify consumer needs; concept & product consumer evaluation, (2) Pack – Price - Promotion: well understanding market situation & conduct related research for the most optimized model.
Work in close with R&D, 3rd party & other internal cross functions partner to identify the most potential formulation & sourcing.
Collaborates cross-functionally to drive the NPD process to bring new products to market.
Develop, maintain and update new product development to ensure a group of new concepts or products is available to be introduced and commercialized on an annual basis, include Ideation Capture, Funnel to Focus, NPD Stage Management, Performance Evaluation.
Responsible for Performance Evaluation Analysis, activities to include: Post launch ROI validation– sales and cost performance validation, Customer/Market feedback, Champion identified improvements, Ensure key learnings and best practice are documented and shared institutionally, Implement improvements in project management tools and methodologies.
Job Requirement
Professional Background
Above 5 year experience in Pharma market
Pharmacist background is required
Competency Requirements
Proven success in OTC new development product
Can interpret syndicated market data and research, consumer insight to recommend appropriate actions & strategies.
Strong business mindset with good understand on a P&L.
Detail oriented and strong project management skills to ensure all marketing projects get done
Good communication & influencing skill, able to work collaboratively & effectively with cross functions.
Strategic and visionary thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
