Reporting directly into the Country manager with a dotted line to the CFO, the senior accountant executive is an integral member of the operations and Vietnam team and is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting for Vietnam. This is a key business partner to the commercial and management teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
Financial control and reporting
Leading day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for Vietnam. Working closely with the senior leadership team and regional management to manage the finance operations.
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies,
Working with the management team to review, improve and tighten internal controls and processes.
Preparing financial reports and management information to management and regional finance.
Cash flow management
Managing VN cash flow including preparing cash flow forecasts, closely monitoring payments and collections, and tracking to target.
Keeping track and processing all payments and expenditures, including payroll, invoices, third party services, statutory contributions, etc.
Liaising with regional team to arrange monthly funding requirements.
Business partner
Partnering with the business to ensure sales and invoice billing and drive AR collections.
Providing guidance and advice and make decisions to deal with complex accounting issues and ensure reporting requirements are met.
Reviewing finance aspects of any supplier or client contracts
Statutory compliance
Ensuring any audit and statutory tax requirements are met and be the key contact point for the tax authorities and external auditors.
Managing the outsourced finance service providers, prepare the monthly closing and financial statements in conjunction with reports submitted by the service providers to ensure their accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
Job Requirement
4+ years of progressive professional experience in the finance & accounting function.
Previous experience working in a startup environment and/or scaling a high growth business is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Hands-on who is not afraid to get into the details but can also step back and see the bigger picture.
Able to handle ambiguity and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates resilience in challenging situations.
Experience leading teams across Southeast Asia is an advantage, but not essential.
BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field; CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus.
Qualified accountant with experience of working within a Big 4 auditor a plus.
