Senior Purchasing Manager

Job Description

​1. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:

• Identify and establish the relationship with key suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating the commercial terms for competitive pricing and delivery time, good quality.
• Continuously assess and optimize the supplier base to meet the company's needs

2. Procurement Planning:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their product and supply needs.
• Execute procurement strategies to meet sales demand monthly, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery.
• Discussing with Director to forecast future purchasing requirements and collaborate with production, logistics, and sales teams.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting:

• Monitor purchasing costs.
• Optimize spending.

4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management:

• Coordinate with supply chain teams to arrange the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to warehouses and ultimately to customers.
• Manage the inventory index, review and control MRP.

5. Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure that purchased products meet JD.com’s quality standards and legal/compliance requirements.
• Handle the goods returns, disputes, and any issues arising from vendors.

6. Team work & Development:

• Well coordination and support in achieving departmental goals.
• Conduct performance reviews and development plans for team members.

Working conditions:

• Workplace: Lot A1-6, N5 Street, Tay Bac Cu Chi Industrial Park, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.
• Working hours: 08:00 - 17:30 (Monday - Friday)
• Workplace: 08 Phan Dinh Giot Street, Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
• Working hours: 08:30 - 18:00 (Monday - Friday)

Job Requirement

• Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field.
• Young and with 5-7 years working experience in well established FMCG/ manufacturing companies in Vietnam
• Direct experiecne dealing with Chinese suppliers for sourcing of raw materials/ spare parts etc.
• An understanding of commodity markets such as PULP/ SAP etc. is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication skills and professional purchasing skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools (such as ERP/SAP systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics management.
• Fluent in English and a plus if can speak Chinese
