Job Description

Position Overview:

The Process & Design Engineer is responsible for conducting technical analysis, designing water and wastewater treatment processes, and supporting commercial and project teams in delivering optimized solutions. This role involves leading the design team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring successful execution of projects from conceptualization to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Process & Design Development

+ Survey, analyze client-provided data and set up water sampling & analysis processes to propose system design.

+ Develop wastewater treatment processes for specific applications and industrial projects.

+ Collaborate with the costing team to address technical queries from equipment suppliers.

+ Support the business development team by preparing and delivering technical presentations for clients.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Proposal & Technical Documentation

+ Define equipment & instruments specifications and perform sizing calculations.

+ Prepare Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and plant layouts for quotations, or Provide instructions to drafting teams.

+ Collaborate with the costing team to address technical queries from equipment, instruments,. suppliers.

+ Participate in internal meetings with the costing team to align technical scope with commercial proposals.

+ Conduct process design, equipment sizing, and specifications, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial needs.

+ Ensure selected equipment and instrument meets regulatory and project-specific requirements.

+ Respond to client technical queries and provide necessary clarifications.

Detailed Engineering & Project Execution

+ Lead the design team in preparing detailed engineering deliverables for awarded projects.

+ Oversee the development of engineering deliverables, including:

  • Detailed P&ID drawings
  • Mechanical, electrical & automation drawings
  • Control philosophy documents
  • Assist Logistics documents
  • Respond to client technical queries and provide necessary clarifications.
  • Other project-specific documentation

+ Work closely with Project Managers (PMs) to ensure high-quality engineering documentation and modifications based on site conditions.

Testing, Commissioning & Client Support

+ Lead start-up, testing, and commissioning (T&C) activities.

+ Provide training to client teams on system operation and maintenance.

+ Complete As-built document regarding Process and Operation and Maintenance Manual.

Reporting & Compliance:

+ Implement weekly reporting mechanisms to track progress and ensure project milestones are met.

Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Record and update works to the Directors

Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in water and wastewater treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment technologies and industrial wastewater processes.
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools and engineering design software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for project execution and client meetings.
