JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Strategic Planning:
· Develop, implement, and refine the company's overall strategic vision and 2-3YP strategic priorities
· Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and category trends on both on-and-offline channels to identify business impact and growth opportunities
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on strategies and drive execution. Help Head of CEO Office lead strategic planning session with departments to align on strategic directions and building blocks
2. Capital Structure and Management:
· Manage the company's investment portfolio, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. Lead end-to-end company fundraising rounds from advisor selection to roadshow, due diligence to deal structuring
· Evaluate and develop roadmap on potential investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and make informed recommendations
· Perform detailed financial analysis and assist in the development of financial models focusing on investment valuation
· Optimize the allocation of financial resources to maximize returns and meet business objectives on both top-line growth and profitability
· Build up investment network and reach out to potential partners in areas such as supply chain financing, inventory financing, international bank, loan credit, bond and equity investment
· Prepare company presentation materials, reports, summary financial information and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, as required
3. Performance Monitoring:
· Advise on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of strategic initiatives and investments
· Regularly monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
· Present performance updates and recommendations to the CEO and executive team on corrective actions to address risk/gaps
4. Risk Advisory:
· Identify and assess potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and investments.
· Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to safeguard the company's interests.
5. Stakeholder Communication and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Foster open communication with stakeholders from other departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals
· Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovative thinking and problem-solving
6. Data Analysis and Performance Dashboard:
· Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify any opportunities for strategic and operational continuous improvement, and also future identification of growth pillars
· Work closely with Data & Digital and Sales & Marketing team to advise on key measurable metrics and data logic for CEO and Executive Performance Dashboards
7. Project Leadership:
· Lead end-to-end company fundraising rounds from advisor selection to roadshow, due diligence to deal structuring
· Take the lead on specific new project or strategic planning initiatives when required
8. Strategic Consultation and Communication:
· Serve as a strategic consultant to CEO and Head of CEO Office in formulating strategic ideas into strategic building blocks with clear business case and impact
· Lead communication in cascading strategic initiatives to the selected cross-functional teams or departments with clear follow up on execution monitoring
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
· Strong academic record. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Banking minimum. MBA is a plus, or related field required.
· 7-10 years of work experience in investment portfolio management, strategic planning or management consulting at prestigious companies in E-commerce, FMCG , Technology or Financial Services sector. CFA is a plus
· Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
· Excellent project management and organizational skills.
· Exceptional leadership capability able to develop talent and capabilities, identifies and cultivates essential skills and attributes to maximize individual contribution and engagement
· Proven experience of initiating and implementing change management in large organizations
· Has multiple successful implementation of company overall company strategy into operations and execution while continuously bridging the gaps through clear communication and robust process/policy
Ability to oversee high-level strategic development while still paying attention to each individual pillar, combined with acting as strategic and independent thinker to drive new growth opportunities or address crucial gaps in overall performance
· Analytical thinking and strong data-driven decision-making ability
· Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and conceptual problem-solving skills, combined with good business acumen to drive business growth
· Able to build collaborative relationships across functions at all levels based on trust and respect. Promotes the inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills, and experiences to achieve results
· Able to make sound and fair decisions based on data and market insights
· Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
· Entrepreneurial and results-driven. Think outside the box
· Strong Office skill (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Power BI, SQL skill is a plus
