Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Accountant in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This role is pivotal in managing an organization's finances, overseeing accurate transaction recording, financial reporting, and strategic analysis. They ensure compliance with regulations, provide insights for strategic decisions, and play a key role in fostering the organization's financial health and transparency.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for recording business financial transactions into accounting records.
• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable of the business.
• Handle company tax issues, including computation, filing, and reporting of taxes. Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure appropriate compliance measures are implemented.
• Business analysis: costs, costing accounting, benchmarking, margin analysis, profit centre measurement, building valuable metrics.
• Manage and monitor free cash flow by maintaining lean cost structures and efficiently managing working capital and capital expenditure.
• Ensure the organization has enough cash for daily business activities and orders.
• Translate data into deep business insights and make proposals to support the team in decision-making.
• Work efficiently across functional departments to achieve business priorities.
Knowledge and Skills
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting (welcome less experienced young people if you believe in your intelligence)
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Very high ethical and integrity standards
• Business understanding
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with financial reporting and regulatory compliance
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy are a must
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Leadership potential
