1. Job overview:
As a Food Safety Executive, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring contamination within the supply chain for our Industrial Spices Business Unit. This includes overseeing all stages, from raw material sourcing from farmers to the final finished products. You will also be a key contributor to implementing and maintaining the supplier management program.
2. Main responsibilities and duties
Regulatory Compliance:
- Liaise with the regulatory team to stay updated on current food safety regulations and ensure all input materials meet these requirements.
- Ensure all internal procedures and documentation are compliant with regulations to facilitate certifications inspections.
Food Safety and Quality Management Systems:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company's Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan, with a specific focus on raw material hazards and their control.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant food safety standards (BRCGS, GFSI-recognized schemes, etc.).
- Document all quality assurance activities, test results, and corrective actions in a detailed and organized manner.
Supplier Management & Auditing:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to qualify and approve new spice suppliers based on their food safety and quality management systems.
- Conduct regular on-site audits of raw material suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
- Maintain detailed records of supplier performance and non-conformances, and proactively collaborate with suppliers on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
