The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of commercial operations including strategic growth, drive commercial and operational effectiveness by implementing and sustaining management operating systems. The General Manager is accountable for the overall P&L of the company.
The General manager plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth plans in Vietnam. Strong Ability to set the annual business objectives are responsible to meet the required business objectives by appropriate deployment of resources, monitoring & guidance.
i. Key Responsibilities:
The role of the General Manager includes the following responsibilities:
1. To develop and implement strategies that help Biomedia achieve its goals, increase revenue, and improve efficiency.
2. To develop and manage budgets to ensure Biomedia (Vietnam) is operating within its financial constraints.
3. To provide effective leadership, guidance, and mentorship by formulating performance goals and objectives to ensure team members meet the company’s performance standards.
4. To strategize sales activities within assigned territories, identifying potential clients through industry market research, networking, and competitor activities
5. To eloquently present and showcase the value proposition of the offered products or services to clients during sales pitches, trade shows, or other opportunities.
6. To cultivate and maintain new and existing relationships with customers to promote the organization's interests and ensure its success.
7. To identify the Growth and Expansion Tracks and lead Business Development programs for Biomedia (Vietnam).
8. To manage the business development process for regional growth
Overall, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organization's is meeting the overall growth plans and profitability requirements as set by the board of directors by managing both the expansion programs and ensuring smooth commercial operations.
Specific task:
- Manage Vietnam organisation structure to position for growth. (Transit from current model to new service model)
- Sales team development and go-to-market strategy. – Dealer model
- Business Process – Develop business process in accordance with the company’s requirements in accordance to local law.
- People management
- Partner with regional stakeholders to develop business activities in Vietnam
- Oversee the setup of GSP warehouse
- Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of the staff
- Creating and implementing strategies for business growth
- Managing the recruitment, hiring and training processes
- Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients
- Working closely with Account Managers and other senior staff to improve efficiency and performance
- Improving internal processes for better productivity
- Overseeing large projects and interpreting performance reports
- Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of a location or business unit

- Medical devices and science industrial management experience is a plus
- Preferably Bachelor of Science degree in Science related field
- Understanding of process development
- Understanding of the GSP, GDP warehouse , 3PLs and 4PLs services
- Knowledge of the requirements of applicable regulatory/law and industry standards.
- Ability to effectively present information to Senior management and other groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
