Job Description

A good Travel Consultant is focused on providing the best service/advice to our agents, has good product knowledge and keeps looking to improve it, has a professional mind-set and a passion for travel and work.

Job Description:

  • Directly sell all tours and travel styles to B2B, B2C -English-speaking customers, prepare proposals and quotations for retail agents or direct clients.
  • Establishing the annual and monthly sales objectives/Strategies in relation to the company’s business plan and monitoring the progress, reporting on it quarterly
  • Design and customize tour programs and make quotations according to client's requests, and provide additional information to clients (about the destination and services) in order to boost sales
  • Research and gather information to fully understand clients'/agents' requests and present options to meet their needs.
  • Identify and take action to up-sell and promote all Asia Vietnam Travel’s destinations, Tailor-made tours, or any campaign.
  • Take ownership of and monitor the individual sales process and follow up with clients/ agents to increase booking conversion.
  • To define precisely guest requirements and ensure that the guest service offered corresponds effectively to their requests
  • To provide after-sales service and in particular to ensure all guest complaints are taken seriously and discussed with the respective departments if necessary
  • Negotiate fees and changes with clients/ agents (where necessary) to gain agreement.
  • Send final confirmation and any travel documents or vouchers to clients/ agents.
  • Send individual booking invoices to clients/ agents when bookings are confirmed, and to be in charge of client’s payments and debits.
  • Maintain relationships/ constant communication with clients/ retail travel agents by ensuring personal service is optimized.
  • To provide after-sales service and in particular to ensure all guest complaints are taken seriously and discussed with the respective departments if necessary
  • To negotiate prices with the clients and certified by the Director of Sales & Marketing, Products and Company’s director
  • Coordinate with other departments, and operations/ reservations to help solve problems for clients on the ground when required.

Job Requirement

Qualifications for sales travel Specialist

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality or a related field is preferred

• At least 2 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, managing other sales personnel, developing comprehensive sales strategies, business, and sales plans

• Honest, Proactive, enthusiastic, and hard-working.

• Vietnam/Indochina Travel & Destinations background and Public Relations preferred

• Experience in commercial is a plus, preferably within a retail and/or consumer goods environment

• Brand Ambassador management experience is a plus

• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, and data, from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify them to meet the constraints of a particular need

• Solid English verbal and written communication skills
