IT Application Administrator and Developer

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of Application Administrator and Developer include but is not limited to: ​

• Develop and deploy applications with support of technical team and vice versa;
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the organisation VGU;
• Ensure proper installation of applications on VGU infrastructure and/or cloud;
• Develop, refine and optimize integration between ERP and WEB applications and systems;
• Collaborate with business process analysts, process experts and WEB development as well as with technical teams within VGU and with external providers to deploy application features;
• Transform Business process requirements into Technical specifications. Work on and evaluate bidding packages of relevant applications and software;
• Resolve problems reported by end users, work with vendors to address and resolve the issues;
• Evaluate the solution's performance compared to the criteria defined;
• Plan lifecycle replacement, coordinate outages and performance tuning for applications;
• Manage administrative aspects of users of development, maintenance and operation of applications;
• Provide necessary training for new staffs or students if required, or if there are any critical changes to the current applications;
• Manage, follow up tasks with an overview, priorities and deal with all problems and tasks quickly and properly;

Job Requirement

1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT or proven track of experience is required.

2. Experiences: 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing applications;
• Proven experience in the role of application administration and user support;
• Experience in security of server-based and cloud-based applications;
• Good knowledge of WEB operations and online development;
• Hands on experience in setting up, installing and maintaining applications.

3. Knowledge

• Good knowledge of process analysis and modeling;
• Advanced knowledge with application management and software development. Profound knowledge in software modelling. Hands-on experience in React Native, Java, C# and is a plus;
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, operating systems and database management. Hands-on experience in application monitoring and control is a plus;
• Good knowledge of security standards and communication.

4. Skills

• Excellent IT and application skills preferably at an University;
• Excellent knowledge in business processes and transformation to technical specifications, implementation and configuration;
• Excellent skills in evaluation and selection of applications ;
• Good skills in IT development.
