Product Engineer (Sofa Upholstery)

Job Description

• Managed new product introduction (NPI) process from Cover Fit to Pilot Run, ensuring successful mass production launch
• Work closely with the US Engineering, Cover Fit, Design, and Pattern teams on New Go, Engineering changes, and product improvements.
• Collaborate with all departments such as S&D, PUR, and QC to develop new materials, process sample making, and follow up on sample approval.
• Work with US/China facilities and Managers to receive inline product engineering changes, improvements, or issue resolutions for inline items, and implement the changes in production.
• Work with and advise production to resolve engineering and quality issues.
• Facilitate cost-saving projects related to UPH products, such as new foam density, layered cushions, stick frames, CB, packing, etc…
• Drive continuous improvement for UPH and cost-saving initiatives.
• Work with the team to develop new furniture projects based on assignments from the leader.
• Complete other assignments and special projects as requested by the Department Manager.

Job Requirement

1. Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from universities (Candidates with a passion for learning in furniture industry).
• Expertise in graphics design is a plus.

2. Experience:

• From 1-year in an Engineering role within a large-scale, labor-intensive manufacturing companies;
• Experience with CAD, CAM, SolidWorks, etc. is preferred.

3. Knowledge:

• Have knowledge process about furniture product (sofa product), technical product, design (preferred).
• Excel, PPT, CAD, SolidWorks
