Job Description
- Bulk check, cross check and overall check for all deliverables performed by QS/AQS prior to compile into Team’s Reports (following Practice Manual and QAQC manual);
- Be able to manage of design check list review and control the schedule of receiving design information (drawings and specifications), Request for Information (RFI) from/to the Designer and schedule of QS deliverables;
- Attending Project Meeting/ Design Meeting (including VE meeting) during contract period and Site Meeting during construction;
- Preparation in full the Cost appraisal, Cost plan report and Pretender Cost Estimation Report;
- Preparation in full the Tender Document (including professional standard in description), Tender Report, Letter of Acceptance and Contract Document;
- Leading the tender management from Pre-Q document, procurement and tender document preparation to contract document;
- Attending Site Meeting for Interim Payment Certificate (IPC), variation order assessment;
- Overall view for financial statement reports, valuation of Interim Payment Certificate (IPC), and variation order assessment, final account statement;
- Provide the support for contract administration role during construction period;
- Highly review the level of cost and rate, be able to do analysis of built up unit rate for civil, structure, architect trades (Interior/ façade and landscape works shall be added value);
- Follow up and update material prices trend on market;
- Manage to maintain cost comparison, cost analysis and cost database and other operation databases of projects;
- Review and check on insurances, warranty, bond and securities of projects;
- Be able to advise and present matters to clients / contractor / consultants;
- Attend Tender interviews/Tender assessment report of Tenderer submission;
- Demonstrate an understanding of contractual issues and to show an ability to prepare contractual letters;
- Be able to prepare outgoing docs to QA/QC standard;
- Show ability for training Quantity Surveyors.
- Prepare monthly lesson learned in the project for sharing and discuss internally
Job Requirement
Job Requirements:
- University graduate (Bachelor of Civil and Structure Engineer/ Bachelor of Architect/ Bachelor of Construction Management or equivalent). Master Degree is value added point).
- 10-15 years working in construction industry (7-10 years working as quantity surveyor)
- Fluent English speaking and writing skills (additional other language shall be added value)
- Well Understanding the QS roles in the projects
- Well Understanding and experience in FIDIC contract and construction schedule
- Claims management experience is essential
- Experience with cost management and reporting of trade packages essential
- Good communication, reporting, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently to carry out the task and meet deliverable expectation to manage team’s deadlines
- Willing to work overtime / at weekend to fulfil the pending tasks or urgent requirement
- Willing to support / collaborate with colleagues in the company
- Show ability for dealing with both international and local clients directly and at meetings without supervision
- Be well presented, professional and present a good image for the firm
- Be able to work full time on site (when required)
