Key Deliverable of the Role:
Develop and Execute Trade Marketing Strategies:
· Strategically design and implement commercial activities at points of sale, including promotional campaigns, product merchandising, sampling, and experiential marketing initiatives.
· Align Trade Marketing strategies with the overarching brand and marketing objectives.
· Ensure the effective execution of in-store activities in adherence to established standards and guidelines.
Manage and Optimize Product Categories (Category Management):
· Conduct comprehensive market research and analyze customer purchasing behaviors and category performance to develop strategic recommendations.
· Develop and refine category structures tailored to specific distribution channels and regional markets.
· Formulate plans for positioning and growth of product categories in alignment with business goals.
Budget Oversight and ROI Optimization:
· Develop, monitor, and manage the Trade Marketing budget, ensuring transparency and cost efficiency.
· Assess the return on investment (ROI) of individual initiatives and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
· Leverage business, market, and customer data to inform strategic decision-making processes.
· Prepare periodic reports on program performance, execution progress, and improvement recommendations to drive continuous enhancements.
Sales Channel Enablement:
· Develop comprehensive sales toolkits to equip the sales team with effective strategies for category management and in-store execution.
· Provide guidance to ensure the sales team effectively understands and aligns with Trade Marketing directives.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience:
· A minimum of 4–6 years of progressive experience in Trade Marketing, Category Management, or Business Development within the FMCG, cosmetics, or related industries.
· Extensive knowledge of distribution systems, including General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce, alongside insights into customer shopping behavior.
Core Competencies:
· Advanced analytical skills, particularly in sales and market data interpretation.
· Proven expertise in strategic planning and execution with a focus on delivering measurable results.
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
Interpersonal Attributes:
· Highly proactive, independent, detail-oriented and adept at resolving complex issues.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail and accountability.
· Effective team collaboration skills, with a preference for candidates proficient in English for business communication.
