Student Affairs Officer

Job Description

• Manage student bus service;
• Handle policy affairs for students (exemption of military service, tuition fee delay, tuition fee reduction…), update students on new policies, regulations via different channels (email, posting on VGU website…);
• Advise students on university policies and procedures, ensuring awareness and compliance;
• Conduct training/info sessions/meetings/events to educate students and staff on relevant policies and procedures regarding student policies;
• Organize extra-curricular student activities required as conditions for granting degrees;
• Coordinate the process of issuing student ID cards to students;
• Coordinate, request and distribute VGU t-shirt to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other members appropriately;
• Issue testimony certificates proving students' enrolled status (Testimony, Reference letter, Enrolment certificate, Late graduation…);
• Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in student affairs for student policy and support;
• Provide information on VGU services and procedures;
• Support student data management system such as SLCM, SIS, HEMIS and provide the student data statistics, analysis;
• Support enrollment procedure.

Job Requirement

1. Qualification: Bachelor's in educational management/ psychology/social sciences/ PR/ marketing or related fields

2. Experience: 

• At least 2 years of working in student affairs or in higher education 

3. Knowledge:

• Deep knowledge in student affairs, education, psychology, statistics 

4. Skills

• Fluent in both oral and written English, fluently use English in discussions/meetings and prepare English report
• Excellent in MS-Office softwares (Word, Excel, PPT,…)
• Good communication, problem solving
• Strong customer service skills, creative, initiative, can-do attitude
• Able to work in a team as well as independently
