Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining an optimized supply plan that ensures product availability while balancing capacity, inventory, and service level objectives. This role plays a key part in translating the demand plan into actionable production and replenishment schedules, coordinating closely with production, procurement, logistics, and demand planning teams.
1. Supply Planning Execution
• Develop weekly and monthly supply plans based on the approved demand forecast.
• Create feasible Master Production Schedules (MPS) by balancing demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Review production constraints and propose adjustment plans or alternative sourcing options.
• Monitor plan adherence and recommend corrective actions for supply gaps.
2. Inventory & Service Control
• Maintain appropriate stock levels to achieve service level targets while minimizing excess inventory.
• Monitor and control inventory by SKU and location based on safety stock and days of inventory targets.
• Identify risks of stock-out or overstock and propose mitigation actions.
• Support analysis for slow-moving and obsolete stock management.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with Demand Planning to review forecast changes and align on supply scenarios.
• Work with Production to confirm schedule feasibility and capacity utilization.
• Liaise with Procurement for raw material readiness and replenishment planning.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
4. Reporting & Process Improvement
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on production plan, supply performance, and service level.
• Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process with supply input and recovery actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in supply planning and system utilization.
• Maintain planning data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems (SAP or equivalent).
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 2–4 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or related fields.
• Experience in FMCG / Food Manufacturing / Logistics preferred.
Technical Skills
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot, Power Query); data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory management, and S&OP concepts.
Soft Skills
