Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVES: The Tax Specialist Vietnam has a crucial role in the centralized Finance & Accounting Management team based in Ho Chi Minh City to directly support Finance Managers in controlling and ensuring tax compliance matters across De Heus businesses in Vietnam.

In this role, you will act as a main contact point to provide timely tax supports and advice to local Accounting teams for feed, food & genetics activities in Vietnam, including but not limited to CIT/VAT filing compliance, invoicing compliance, PIT-related matters, tax investigation & audit supports.

You will also work closely with Tax Manager Asia in ensuring corporate tax compliance implementation for Vietnam, including Transfer Pricing documentation, Group Tax control framework, Pillar 2, and other tax operation improvement and restructuring projects (where applicable).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. TAX COMPLIANCE MATTERS OF DE HEUS BUSINESSES IN VIETNAM

• Monitor monthly/quarterly/annual CIT, VAT, and invoicing filing compliances for feed, food & genetics BUs in Vietnam.

• Laise with local Chief Accountants and external tax consultants to effectively handle tax audits and tax auditors in Vietnam and to represent the company’s positions and interest to tax authorities in Vietnam.

• Review agreements to advise on potential im-export duty, WHT implications/risks and potential savings from tax treaty benefits.

• Advise various stakeholders including local BUs and joint venture partners in relation to daily business tax affairs.

• Support local BUs in communication with tax authorities, including ruling requests to respective tax offices for guidance on grey and risky areas to enhance the company tax positions and compliance practices.

• Support Tax Manager Asia to complete Local Files, to monitor I/C transactions in Vietnam and related TP risks (if any).

2. TAX PLANNING AND CONTROLLING:

• Review tax attributes of different BUs and joint-venture businesses of De Heus in Vietnam to develop a comprehensive master tax profile for effective tax management purposes.

• Work closely with Finance Managers, Treasury Managers, and Chief Accountants to monitor the debt level so as to ensure the deductibility of interest expenses, headroom for additional loans, and optimal utilization schedule for De Heus BUs in Vietnam.

• Assist Finance Managers and Tax Manager Asia in analyzing tax implications of various local CAPEX projects, business restructuring and business optimization models.

• Monitor and analyze tax legislative developments and changes to timely alert potential impact to local BUs in Vietnam.

• Support internal audit process and identify loopholes for improvement of internal standard operation procedures of VN BUs.

3. OTHERS:

• Other contingent tasks and projects assigned by line managers.

Job Requirement

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business law with extensive focus on Vietnam tax regulations.

• Tax agent certificate or any tax profession qualification is a plus

2. Experience:

• At least 4 - 6 years of experience in tax consultancy or in-house tax specialist, preferably in an MNE environment.
