Commodity Fundamental Analyst

Job Description

· Generating investment ideas in the commodity market, based on fundamental research and data analysis

· Collecting and modeling commodity data and producing ad-hoc analysis based on short-term market developments, as well as making long-term predictions

· Developing and expanding analytics tools that support market research processes and insights collecting

· Producing annual/outlook reports and weekly presentations to summarize findings, assumptions, analysis, and price movement forecasts

· Implementing policies and procedures that keep company data and information secure as it is collected, analyzed, stored, and discarded

· Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

· Collaborating with other departments in creating financial investment content, and handling fundamental analysis training programs.

Job Requirement

1.   Minimum Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or strong equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance or economics

·         Good academic results. Proficiency in English and/or other foreign languages

·         Strong written, documentation, office, and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment

·         Ability to commit to deadlines and stay updated on market/financial/economics news and commodity trading activity

2.   Preferred Qualifications:

·         CFA is favorable

·         Experience in financial/financial investment markets, with standard knowledge in economics or other related research fields

·         Strong understanding of financial modeling, using analytic tools

·         Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
