The Garment Technical Manager is responsible for leading and developing the technical department to achieve company goals and meet customer requirements. This role involves managing the technical team, overseeing product development processes, ensuring quality and efficiency, and driving technical innovation.
Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Build and lead a high-performing technical team.
Assign tasks, allocate resources, and monitor team performance.
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
Ensure team adherence to company policies and procedures.
Product Development:
Develop and implement product development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Oversee the entire product development cycle from concept to production.
Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure a smooth product launch.
Conduct fit evaluations, pattern making, and grading.
Develop and implement technical specifications and standards.
Technical Expertise:
Possess in-depth knowledge of garment construction, materials, and production processes.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Drive technical innovation and process improvement.
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 5001, CTPAT).
Production Support:
Provide technical support to the production floor.
Resolve production-related technical issues and challenges.
Optimize material utilization and reduce production costs.
Ensure accurate and timely transfer of technical information to production.
Customer Focus:
Build strong relationships with customers.
Understand and meet customer requirements.
Manage customer feedback and implement necessary changes.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports on department performance.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Garment Technology or Fashion Design.
In-depth understanding of garment construction and production processes.
Proficiency in garment software and systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in Chinese and Vietnamese, with English proficiency preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
