Position Overview: The Performance Marketing Manager will serve as the lead expert for all marketplace operations in the Southeast Asia region. This role requires a deep understanding of the marketplace landscape, including e-commerce operations, seller and brand management, campaign planning, growth strategies, and marketplace tools. The candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end marketplace process, optimizing workflows, and providing training to improve team efficiency. Close collaboration with client stakeholders will be essential to streamline processes and enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace Operations:
Oversee the daily marketplace operations, ensuring smooth management of commerce functions, seller and brand activities, and campaign execution.
Monitor and analyze marketplace performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement strategic growth plans for the marketplace.
Identify key growth drivers and collaborate with internal teams to execute successful campaigns.
Process Management & Optimization:
Manage the full lifecycle of marketplace operations and continuously optimize processes for greater efficiency.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of operational workflows.
Training & Development:
Provide training and support to the marketplace team and other stakeholders.
Develop training materials to build team capabilities and foster continuous learning.
Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with client stakeholders to understand their needs and streamline processes.
Lead and manage a cross-functional team, including Store Operations, Customer Service, Performance Marketing, and Graphic Design.
Oversee the project P&L through MME, ensuring accurate forecasting, billing, and submission.
Manage talent acquisition, resourcing, and team training to ensure smooth operations.
Marketplace Ecosystem & Tools:
Stay updated on the latest marketplace trends, tools, and technologies.
Evaluate and integrate new tools to improve operational efficiency.
Build and maintain relationships with marketplace partners and vendors.
Job Requirement
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or business management field.
At least 5 years of experience in digital commerce, digital sales, or offline sales & marketing.
Experience in channel sales (preferably digital), channel marketing, and campaign planning.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and work with data.
Proficiency in MS Excel or similar data analysis tools.
Familiarity with Southeast Asia’s leading eCommerce platforms (e.g., Lazada, Shopee) and marketplace operations.
Strong client relationship management skills, with excellent English communication abilities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies in Consumer Goods or related sectors.
A solid understanding of digital commerce trends and best practices.
A proactive approach to learning and adapting based on team and client needs.
