Planning Staff is responsible for planning production schedules and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs. This role involves analyzing data, coordinating with various departments, and managing the production planning process to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
Key responsibilities
1. Planning:
Maintain production schedules to meet forecasted demand while optimizing resource utilization.
Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure production plans align with inventory levels, lead times, and capacity constraints.
2. Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimize excess inventory, and reduce carrying costs.
Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
Prepare reports on production schedules, and inventory status to management.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
Liaise with various departments, including KAM, Demand Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing, Shipment to ensure alignment on demand and production plans.
Facilitate communication and coordination between teams to address any issues or changes in plans.
Provide support in resolving production or supply chain issues that impact delivery or inventory levels.
Job Requirement
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM) may be preferred.
Experience: Relevant experience in demand planning, production planning, or supply chain management is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in planning and forecasting software (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
