JOB SUMMARY
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is responsible for leading and managing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality within the organization. This role involves analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to streamline operations. The CI Manager will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive sustainable changes that align with the organization's strategic goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Analysis and Improvement:
Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Identify, remove, and minimize the impact of manufacturing opportunities through waste elimination, increased capacity, improved efficiency, improved logistics, and reduced complexity.
Lead initiatives that integrate Lean manufacturing, throughout the facility, using continuous improvement (CI) tools such as Kaizen events, 5S, Six Sigma, OEE, mistake proofing, etc. to reduce waste, optimize capital assets, and improve throughput.
- Project Management:
Lead continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute improvement initiatives and achieve project goals.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to track performance metrics and identify trends.
Provide regular reports on the progress and impact of continuous improvement projects.
- Training and Development:
Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement tools, techniques, and best practices.
Develop training materials for Lean processes and principles, as well as other training materials as
necessary.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the organization.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to understand their challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to generate ideas and solutions for process enhancements.
- Innovation and Best Practices:
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in continuous improvement methodologies.
Benchmark best practices and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Take care of all operational continuous improvement in all business divisions: Cut and Sew, Casegood, Bedding, and Plastic.
