Job Description

Project Management:

Responsible for the project management of new product development and variants of the current production lines for Sonion Vietnam. Will work closely with the project team globally to drive innovation, optimize time to market, product quality and design for manufacturability.

  • Responsible for project development and implementation of new product variants of the current lines.
  • Manages and assesses project team members including allocation of responsibilities and tasks to achieve the high-quality project result.
  • Participate in the development process for assigned projects with focus on project budget management, resource allocation, time to market, design for manufacturability and product quality.
  • Compile project plans for assigned projects and coordinate project team meetings.
  • Regularly updates on project status to senior management, the project team, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control progress of projects to provide technical oversight and ensure that application of engineering principles is used.
  • Manages project risk evaluation and completion of deliverables according to SDM (Sonion Development Methodology).
  • Work closely with project teams to define solutions and alternatives for Manufacturability, Assembly, Inspections, etc.
  • Supports project engineers and project managers in initiating, project planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and closing of their projects by assessing the project progress reports, sharing knowledge through peer mentoring.
  • Supports the project engineers and project managers in making the escalation input and presenting scenarios which are aligned with all the project stakeholders.
  • Organizes celebrations in which project success is celebrated and failures are embraced as opportunities to learn.
  • Facilitates the Operations Project Meeting.

Job Requirement

1. Education:

  • Required: University degree, Technical, Engineering, Mechanics
  • Preferable:Master’s degree

 2. Professional knowledge of:

  • Project Management (10 knowledge areas of Project Management)
  • Integration Management
  • Scope, Schedule and Cost Management
  • Risk Management
  •  Resource and Procurement Management
  • Quality Management
  • Communications and Stakeholders Management
  • Statistical Analysis

3. Knowledge of computer servicing: Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project)

4. Knowledge of foreign languages: Efficient in communicating in English or equal (both oral and written)

6. Professional experience: At least 4 years equivalent experience  in a similar position of Project Management / Production /Product Design in a technical working area.
