ASSEMBLY PROCESS ENGINEER

* JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design and develop assembly processes and layouts to achieve production targets (quality, cost, delivery).
• Define assembly sequences, torque specifications, and equipment requirements.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize manpower and cycle time.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, jigs, and fixtures to improve productivity and ergonomics.
• Provide daily technical support for assembly lines to resolve process issues (fitment, alignment, torque, etc.).
• Monitor key process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for assembly-related defects.
  

• At least a college degree in engineering or technology, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Hands-on experience in using 2D/3D software.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP is desired.
• Experience with MES systems, torque control tools, and error-proofing devices (poka-yoke).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
