Brand & Category Direction
- Research and define brand positioning, target consumers, category architecture, product roles, use cases, price tiers, and assortment plan.
- Identify category and product opportunities from market trends, consumer insights, competitor movement, technology development, sales data, and customer feedback.
- Lead portfolio planning, product roadmap, SKU priorities, launch sequencing, and recommendations to expand, improve, rationalize, or discontinue products.
- Own pricing and margin input, commercial performance tracking, and post-launch business actions for the assigned brand/category.
Portfolio Priorities & Product Direction
- Translate approved brand/category direction into product priorities and briefs covering target user, benchmark, key functions, user experience, hero benefits, quality expectations, target cost, retail price, and success criteria.
- Review and challenge product proposals, supplier options, and development recommendations; make timely decisions on project direction and next steps, and escalate major investments or material risks to the Head.
- Ensure product priorities balance differentiation, usability, performance, technical feasibility, supplier capability, quality, safety, compliance, cost, margin, and launch timing.
- Set claim and evidence direction with Product Development team, QA/QC, and Compliance, ensuring product information, testing inputs, and documentation align before launch.
Launch & Commercial Alignment
- Create selling points, comparison angles, demonstration and usage guidance, and training input for Sales, Retail, E-commerce, Marketing, and Customer Service.
- Lead launch readiness across product, packaging, instructions, content, demand and inventory input, retail demonstration, warranty, and after-sales.
- Track sales, margin, reviews, returns, defects, warranty, complaints, and usage issues; drive business actions and next-batch improvements.
Cross-functional & Team Leadership
- Set team priorities, review key outputs, and coach team members on commercial judgment, product decisions, ownership, and execution discipline.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Compliance, Purchasing, Logistics, Marketing, Operation, Customer Service, suppliers, and after-sales partners to align product requirements and commercial priorities, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure launch readiness and post-launch follow-through.
- Resolve or escalate product, supplier, quality, safety, commercial, and timeline issues with facts, risk assessment, and recommended actions; keep brand direction consistent across customer touchpoints.
