We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function for our growing logistics company. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management within the logistics/supply chain industry, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and transparency in all financial operations. You will play a key role in supporting business decisions through timely and reliable financial insights
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes efficiently.
- Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and ensure timely submission of audit reports.
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations (CIT, VAT, PIT, import/export taxes, etc.).
- Prepare and submit all tax declarations, reports, and transfer pricing documentation on time.
- Monitor and optimize tax positions while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Cost Management & Analysis (Logistics-specific)
- Develop and monitor cost accounting for logistics operations: transportation, fleet management, Custom clearance and Freight
- Provide detailed variance analysis on operational costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and working in close collaboration with operations and commercial teams.
- Track budget performance and provide insightful financial analysis to management.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Establish, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives in finance
- Manage and develop the Accounting team (4+ members).
Others
- Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and other government bodies.
Payroll, HR Administration & Social Insurance (20%)
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for all employees.
- Track personnel movements (hiring, resignation, contract changes, etc.).
- Support recruitment processes when required (posting jobs, initial CV screening, and coordination).
- Calculate, declare, and submit social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) accurately and on time.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Vietnamese Labor Law
