Main purpose:
The Continuous Improvement and Process Manager leads site-wide initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, reduce waste, enhance quality performance, and strengthen operational excellence. This role combines process engineering expertise with Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive sustainable improvements across HSES, Quality, production, maintenance and Logistic functions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement Leadership:
• Develop and implement the site's Continuous Improvement strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and Operational Excellence programs.
• Facilitate value stream mapping and process optimization initiatives.
• Establish a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Coach and mentor department leaders on CI tools and methodologies.
• Track and report improvement project progress and savings realization.
Process Engineering:
• Optimize chemical production processes for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Review process performance data and recommend process improvements.
• Support Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOP, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
• Ensure compliance with process safety management requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, Technology, and Engineering teams on process innovations.
• Promote Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Utilize data analytics and process monitoring tools.
• Develop dashboards and visualization tools for performance tracking.
• Support implementation of advanced process control systems.
Process Optimization:
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
• Drive process capability improvements to maximize production throughput and yield.
• Reduce process variability through statistical analysis and process control techniques.
• Lead root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and asset utilization to improve production capacity.
• Support scale-up, debottlenecking, and capacity expansion projects.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Process Engineering.
Proven track record in leading cross-functional improvement projects and driving change.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred), RCA, and process optimization.
Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Minitab, and Advanced Excel.
Fluent English.
