Costing Merchandiser

Main Role: Costing Merchandiser is responsible for determining the overall cost of producing garments, ensuring that pricing is competitive while maintaining profitability for the factory. This role involves a detailed analysis of all factors that contribute to the cost of a garment, from raw materials to labor, and coordinating with various departments to gather accurate information. Costing Merchandiser will report to the Senior Bulk Supervisor.

Main tasks:

• Receive customer information and coordinate order documents (BOM, comments, purchasing requests, and cross-functional communication).
• Understand customer requirements and timelines to prepare and submit costing on schedule.
• Coordinate with Merchandising on customer updates and costing requirements.
• Request rating/CMP, provide raw material target prices based on FOB targets, and consolidate quotations from all departments.
• Work with the Client team to ensure costing aligns with customer targets, negotiate raw material costs, and submit competitive quotations on time.
• Prepare Proforma Invoice (PI) for customer deposits in coordination with Finance.
• Maintain and update the costing database after shipment and hold analysis meetings.

Education: College in Business Administration or Foreign Economics

Experience: 2 years in experience – Applicant must having experience in the garment / manufacturing industry

Knowledge: Industry knowledge – must understand garments and the componentry behind the business have a working knowledge of fabrics / trims / production

Skills:

• Planning ability.
• Time management - Work smart/ effective /focused
• Able to communicate in English to key stakeholders outside of country
