Country Manager

As Country Manager for Nine United in Vietnam, you will be part of a small team in an independent cross-functional department working very closely with our colleagues in China. Your workplace will be Ho Chi Minh.
Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies and plans to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of furniture and home accessories.
• Identifying potential suppliers and establishing strong working relationships with them to maintain consistent quality and reliability of products.
• Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and minimize risks.
• Monitoring market trends, supplier performance and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
• Building a team of sourcing and quality professionals and overseeing their daily activities including recruitment, training and development.
• Participating in the negotiations of strategic agreement with key accounts and the responsibility for close cooperation with our family-owned brands and partners
• Collaborating with cross functional teams such as sales, marketing, and logistics to ensure seamless integration of sourcing processes with overall business objectives.
• Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics such as supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory levels to support data driven decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are characterized by having a thorough knowledge of industry standards as well as a high level of technical ability and commercial skills. You have a strong sense of business development and have shown strong leadership as well as analytical and organizational skills. You work well independently and within in a team, managing and prioritizing multiple activities with attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.

You have excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills and interact professionally with a culturally and linguistically diverse staff, stakeholders, suppliers and clients. You possess English language skills at negotiation level.

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or above and a minimum of 10 years’ supply chain management experience in furniture industry.
