Our strategic partner is seeking a Head of Sales, acting as Vietnam Commercial Leader to lead the commercial agenda for the Vietnam market. The role is responsible for sales and marketing planning, annual budgeting, market and customer development, pricing, new business and product initiatives, and the performance of the Sales & Marketing team, with overall accountability for profitable growth and achievement of commercial targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the market sales and marketing plan for Vietnam, ensuring alignment with business unit objectives and the overall strategic framework.
- Lead new product development initiatives and ensure products meet group technical specifications in production design, performance standards, and product quality.
- Prepare and implement the annual sales budget, monitor performance daily, weekly, and monthly, and deliver weekly and monthly reports to senior management.
- Direct and manage the sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets, conducting regular account review meetings and maintaining professional relationships with all key accounts.
- Oversee sales and marketing expenditure to maximize benefit and ensure cost containment within approved budgets.
- Establish pricing strategies based on account-specific approaches, market conditions, cost structures, and target margins, while adhering to pricing guidelines and escalating competitive pressures appropriately.
- Maintain effective market intelligence links to identify competitor activities, business developments, and opportunities for innovation and business protection.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and products consistent with the strategic plan, coordinating the team to introduce innovations and exceed new business targets.
- Conduct prospecting, cold calls, and customer research to expand the customer base and deliver sales growth as outlined in the plan.
- Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events to promote products and services, and represent the organization within major industry associations.
- Develop and maintain human resource plans for the sales and marketing team, including biannual performance reviews, succession planning, annual training and development programs, and regular performance coaching.
- Ensure all team activities comply with relevant legislation, ethical standards, company policies, and procedures.
