Customs specialist (Chuyên viên xuất nhập khẩu)

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for handling daily import–export customs procedures to ensure timely clearance, accurate documentation, and full compliance with Vietnamese customs laws and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and submit import–export customs declarations via e-customs systems.
• Prepare and check customs documents: invoice, packing list, contract, C/O, and related certificates.
• Apply correct HS codes, customs valuation, and tax calculations in accordance with regulations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics providers, and authorities to ensure timely clearance.
• Track customs declaration status and resolve clearance issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain and archive customs records in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Support customs liquidation, reconciliation, and post-clearance checks when required.
• Provide customs data and documents for audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
• Update Customs Manager on issues, risks, or regulatory changes impacting operations.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Execute import–export customs procedures and documentation.
• Ensure accuracy of customs declarations and related records.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for smooth customs clearance.
• Support compliance, audit, and reporting requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of Vietnamese customs laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Understanding of HS code classification, customs valuation, and import–export taxes.
• Familiarity with e-customs systems and customs software.
• Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse processes.

MINIMUM QUALIIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Import–Export, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customs or import–export operations.
• Experience working with e-customs systems and customs documentation.
• Careful, detail-oriented, and compliance-focused working style.
• Good English communication skills is preferred.
