The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities related to customers and products, supporting the development of demand forecasts across multiple time horizons as part of the long-term demand strategy.
The role plays an integral part in driving forecast accuracy improvement initiatives and is a key member of the S&OP process, including leading demand review meetings. The position requires close collaboration with Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Trade, and Finance to achieve overall business objectives.
- Oversee demand planning and forecasting processes for both new and existing products.
- Coordinate the monthly forecasting cycle by gathering, validating, and analyzing data to improve forecast accuracy.
- Liaise with Product Management and Supply teams to support integrated business planning and day-to-day operations.
- Actively participate in sales planning through demand review within the S&OP process.
- Monitor actual performance against forecasts and take appropriate actions or provide recommendations.
- Anticipate, identify, and communicate key issues and decisions during demand planning discussions.
- Manage exceptions and abnormal demand fluctuations effectively.
- Organize and facilitate monthly forecast meetings with relevant stakeholders as part of the S&OP process.
- Support the line manager in managing and improving the S&OP process.
