DESIGN & PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

BằNG is a Vietnemase furniture and lighting brand.
We are a team of 6 people, together we work hard to build an internationnally recognized design brand from Vietnam.
We are looking for a Design & Production Assistant to work hands in hands with our Head of Design.
We make Unboring Objects, and our working way is “Design ain’t no office job”.
We do what has to be done to deliver the right products and everything related. We make our hands dirty, we sweat in the workshops, we walk a lot everyday in our factory, we drive under the sun to go see a supplier.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Product Development & Design Assistance

- Assist in brainstorming and concept ideation of new products with the Head of Design, from sketches to final prototypes.

- Evaluate prototypes for design, quality, and functionality, noting necessary improvements

- Conduct trend research, competitive products research.

- Collaborate with suppliers and makers to explore materials possibilities and manufacturing techniques.

- Coordinate sample development with suppliers and ensure the timely arrival of prototypes.

- Support the creation of technical drawings and specifications for production, both 2D and 3D.

- Prepare detailed spec sheets with dimensions, materials, finishes, and packaging requirements.

- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials related to new product launches (e.g., photography coordination, product descriptions).

- Support the e-commerce and retail team with product details for online listings.

2. Production Coordination

- Act as liaison between our admins team and our in-house production or external suppliers.

- Work with manufacturers and artisans to ensure product quality and timelines.

- Request and compare quotations, lead times, and production feasibility for different designs.

- Monitor quality control, ensuring that final products match approved prototypes. Assist in quality control and ensure products align with brand standards.

- Address production challenges, suggesting modifications or improvements when necessary.

- Maintain an organized database of materials, suppliers, and production details.

TOOLS YOU WILL WORK WITH:

- 2D and 3D software (AutoCad, Rhino, Inventor, KeyShot)

- Your hands, for hand made prototypes, tests, samples.

- Google workspace

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2-3 years working
- Fluent English

- Working hours, From Monday to Friday: 8h-12h & 13h-17h, Saturday: 8h-12h
