🎯Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented DRAFTER/ DRAFTING ENGINEER to support the technician team to develop and manufacture products at factory

The Drafter/CAD Technician will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and bill of materials (BOM) for furniture products. This role is critical in translating design concepts into precise manufacturing specifications, ensuring products are engineered for efficient and high-quality production within the new factory setting

📌Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Drawing: Develop detailed 2D production drawings (shop drawings) and 3D models of  furniture components and finished assemblies using AutoCAD and other specialized CAD software.
• Design Interpretation: Work closely with the R&D and Design teams to transform preliminary sketches, 3D renders, and engineering concepts into comprehensive and manufacturable drawings.
• Manufacturing Specifications: Ensure all drawings include accurate dimensions, material specifications tolerance limits, finish specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Bill of Materials (BOM): Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Materials for each product, coordinating part numbers and specifications with the Purchasing and Production departments.
• Standards and Compliance: Review and revise drawings based on feedback from the Production, QC, and Sampling teams, ensuring drawings meet quality standards and manufacturing capabilities.
• Documentation Management: Organize and maintain the electronic drawing database, managing revisions and ensuring that the latest versions are used by the factory floor.
• Technical Support: Provide technical clarification and support to the production line during sample making (mock-up) and mass production.

🔆 Job requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Vocational or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Drafter, CAD Technician, or Technical R&D Staff, preferably in a furniture (wood, metal, or aluminum) or manufacturing environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Expert proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Pro/E, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong technical knowledge of aluminum extrusion, fabrication, welding, and finishing processes (powder coating, anodizing) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with standard drafting principles, engineering drawing standards, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret design specifications and technical documentation.
• Fluency in Vietnamese; basic English for reading technical documents or communicating with expatriate managers/teams is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
